Job Summary:

The Sr Human Resource Generalist is responsible for supporting our leaders, managers, and employees.  They will be a champion of our culture and core values.  The Sr HR Generalist must be knowledgeable and able to function at a professional level in all aspects of HR, which includes: people leadership, culture, employee & leadership development, recruiting, benefits, compensation, and compliance. The position reports to the CFO.  Applicants can expect to make between $80,000 to $95,000 upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education, among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for a 10% target incentive bonus under our variable incentive plan.

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with leadership and managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conducts new hire orientation and onboarding.
  • Create and manage an internship program that brings a steady flow of new candidates that can support all organizations by building a relationship with local trade schools and colleges
  • Serves as our culture champion, integrating our core values into all elements of the people process
  • Ensures all employee facing material is updated and easily accessible (ex. Keeping Intranet updated)
  • Works with our chief diversity officer on recruitment strategies and execution
  • Assists with benefits programs and payroll, while serving as liaison to PEO.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
    • Five plus years of relevant and progressive work experience.
    • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
